They are one of the most-eaten fruits in the entire world and are typically known for being a good source of potassium. With that said, many forget that they are also loaded with Vitamin C as well. In fact, one medium banana contains about 10 mg of Vitamin C.
➡️ Oranges
This is one of the most common and most-known sources of Vitamin C by the general public. The reason is, oranges have a very high Vitamin C content. One medium orange contains about 65 mg.
➡️ Tomatoes
Tomatoes are a great source of vitamin C and you can typically find them year-round though technically they are in-season in the summer months. One medium tomato contains about 17 mg of Vitamin C.
➡️ Broccoli
Broccoli is often known as a superfood so it’s no surprise that Vitamin C is one of the various benefits that it contains. Half a cup of cooked broccoli contains about 51 mg of Vitamin C. You could get around 100 mg or more just from one serving.
➡️ Red Peppers
Peppers come in a variety of colors and flavors and offer many positive health benefits. But if you’re wanting one with high Vitamin C content, look no further than: Half a cup of chopped red peppers contains about 59 mg of Vitamin C.
➡️ Kiwi
Kiwis are a unique fruit that often doesn’t get a lot of attention, but you should know that they are one of the most Vitamin C rich foods on the planet. One Kiwi contains about 131 mg of Vitamin C which means that just one kiwi meets your entire daily need for this essential vitamin.
➡️ Grapefruit
As is the case for many citrus fruits, grapefruit also contains a large amount of Vitamin C. One half of a medium-sized grapefruit has about 44 mg which is plenty to give your immune system a nice boost.
➡️ Strawberries
Strawberries are a popular, sweet fruit that is grown around the world in a variety of different climates. You guessed it, they just so happen to be loaded with Vitamin C. One cup of whole strawberries contains approximately 85 mg.
➡️ Brussel Sprouts
Brussel sprouts are part of the cabbage family and are widely consumed around the world. Half a cup of cooked brussel sprouts has about 37 mg of Vitamin C which is a very healthy amount for consumption.
➡️ Potatoes
It may be a surprise that potatoes made the list. They are widely known as a food that is high in carbohydrates, but you should know that they contain a healthy amount of Vitamin C as well. One medium-sized baked potato contains around 22 mg of Vitamin C.
➡️ Apples
Apples are arguably the most popular fruit around the world. Not only are they a great source of fiber, they can also provide you with some Vitamin C as well. One medium-sized apple has around 8 mg of Vitamin C.
➡️ Spinach
Spinach is a superfood that provides an array of vitamins and minerals that are beneficial for your overall health. One cup of raw spinach has about 8 mg.
➡️ Lemon
Most people think of lemon simple as a garnish for drinks but you should know that it’s also an amazing source of Vitamin C. One lemon contains about 44 mg.

Francesca Chaney is a 22-year-old college kid with her own vegan restaurant. She swears by plant-based meals and wants to normalize them for underprivileged neighborhoods. Her restaurant, Sol Sips, is in Brooklyn, NY, and its menu is comprised of delicious, healthy eats.
Because Francesca is all about accessibility, she offers a sliding-scale brunch where customers can pay anywhere from to for their full meal. She hopes her mission of educating people about healthy eating grows into more Sol Sips locations and a healthier mindset for underserved communities.

As my unplanned trip to Malaysia is coming to an end soon, I decided to visit the Vegan District Market in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. They have so many wonderful plant-based food, health, and beauty products, I was totally in awe of this place. I am glad to have had the opportunity to visit this marvelous location. I encourage everyone to visit and support this local grocer.

Christian Hextrum is a little over average height so some people call me Big C. He lives in Santa Rosa with his mom, dad, and three sisters. He is a sophomore at Cardinal Newman and is 15 years old. His is currently the captain and leading scorer of the Newman JV basketball team. He attended St. Eugene’s from kindergarten through eighth grade and will be at Newman until he graduates. Soon, he would like to begin serving in the St. Eugene’s CYO basketball program to coach and mentor players. Christian would like to be an architect after college.
